Beasley is a skeleton,
And Mo’s a scary ghost.
Tillie is a pirate,
Hey, there! Who ya’ love the most?
We’re out with Trick-or-Treaters
So instead of barks, we “boo!”
Some witches are four-legged,
While the others have just two.
We’ve got Super Dog and Phantom
And an astronaut named Tex,
A Pug dressed like a butterfly
And Lana-saurus Rex.
Doc looks like a scarecrow.
Jinx the Yorkie is a cop.
The Beagles have Hawaiian shirts.
That dog’s Triceratops.
It’s Halloween and we’re parading,
Seeking treats from door to door.
Mo got a peanut butter Kong.
Let’s go back there for more!
There are dogs in football jerseys.
Rocky showed up as a chef.
The pilot is an Airedale.
Batman is a mutt named Jeff.
We have a devil and an angel
And a funny little clown.
The Scotties look like spooky bats.
They’re walking upside down!
The Shih Tzu is a bumblebee.
Pawl plays the mailman.
And Peg the Pomeranian
Is dressed as Peter Pan.
We run up on neighbors’ porches
And the kids all ring the bell.
We sit and beg and drool
For the treats we love so well.
The kids try to be frightening,
But we know its just pretend.
They give each other goosebumps
Even though they all are friends.
The scariest is Frankendog.
He tried to steal Mo’s Kong!
They scuffled and they struggled,
Then they shared and got along.
The Chinese Crested, Carla
And the Shar Pei named Mai Ling
Are unusual every day and they
Don’t need to wear a thing.
The Poodles look like Lady Bugs.
That princess is a Chow.
The Dobermans are Rock Stars.
Cap the Corgi takes a bow.
There’s a zombie and a robot,
A Pop Star and a king.
Basenji dressed like Justin Bieber.
That dog really loves to sing!
Steffy Spaniel is a flower,
Old Rascal is a skunk.
There’s a Pointer who’s a doctor
And the Collie is a Punk.
The Boxer, Boris, is so funny.
He looks just like a frog.
We trot up and down the sidewalks
Dressed as everything but dogs.
We have a Maltese ballerina
And a ninja St. Bernard.
We chase each other down the street
And race through all the yards.
A Weiner dressed up like a hot dog.
(Is it the other way around?)
His pal came as Danny Zuko
And he acts just like a hound.
There’s a Bulldog dressed as Elvis.
What do you think of that?
And look! That silly puppy,
He dressed up like a cat!
The Mastiff is a surfer dude.
The Golden is a nurse.
Our Boston Terriers are hobos
And that Schnauzer has a purse!
There are goofy hats and kerchiefs,
Collars, capes and jackets, too.
And dogs dressed up like animals
Who live inside a Zoo.
We run around the neighborhood
And bark at all the kids.
Once, the parents tried to fence us in.
We ran away and hid!
But I think we hit the jackpot
On our Halloween Parade.
They gave us biscuits, chews and kibble.
Oh, yeah. We’ve got it made!
Lots of kids and dogs in costume
Its the greatest way to play.
